Are there flights to Long Island Bahamas?
Take a commercial flight to Nassau or Exuma. From Nassau, use BahamasAir to Deadman’s Cay airport. From Exuma, you can book a private air charter through Stella Maris Air Service or Island Wings Charter. Both are experienced and well-known on Long Island. If you are traveling in a group of 4 people or more, Stella Maris Air Service has a larger plane.

What are the best resorts and hotels in Long Island?
If you want to stay in a high end small resort, reserve a room at Cape Santa Marie. Harbor Breeze Villas to the south in Clarence Town is more affordable and is a great place for a family vacation stay, and we also recommend Bahama Dreaming in Buckley’s. There are also vacation houses rented on Air BNB throughout the island.
How do I get around Long Island Bahamas?
There is car rental and taxi service here on the island. Cars can be even be delivered to the airport. Find one here: http://libahamas.com/serenity/car_rental.html
It’s a good idea to pick up an island map or use Google Maps. Street signs need a little work.
What is the food like on Long Island Bahamas?
All restaurant dining is casual and locally owned, but you will also find Chez Pierre, a ‘reservation only’ restaurant nearby. The entire length of Long Island offers cuisine from traditional Bahamian food and American food to seafood. And you may want to eat what you catch!
What is the best time of year to visit the Bahamas?
Anytime really. Even the Fall/Autumn months are a good time to visit.
Where do you pick up boat tour passengers?
It depends on which tour you choose and the weather. Everyone who has booked will be in contact with the captain 4-5 days before the tour for instructions. We can pick up at Salt Pond (Exuma Chat & Chill), Junkee Landing (all tours including Exuma), and Clarence Town (deep sea fishing and trolling and Rum Key Run).
What language is spoken on Long Island Bahamas?
English is the primary language.
How many people are on a boat tour?
The Captain and First Mate are on the boat. Jus 1 Danz has 4 boats that carry 1-30 people. The boat is determined by the type of tour and number of people in your group. Every tour is a private charter.
How far from the island does the boat go?
You can choose to fish right from shore or go a little farther on the Exuma Chat n’ Chill excursion. It usually takes only 25-35 minutes to get to the first fishing spot. The fishing starts as soon as you get out there. You don’t have to travel far for great fishing on Long Island.
How does pricing work for fishing tours?
The cost of the tour is determined by type of boat, type of tour, and 1/2 day or full day charter. Kids are welcome on the boats. For tours with 5 or more people including children, there is an additional cost of $40 per person.

How do I pay?
You are not charged anything until you arrive for your tour. Cash is preferred and we also accept PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. A tip for the crew is also appreciated and can be given directly to the Captain on your tour.
What is your cancellation policy?
In the case of unsafe weather or a guest emergency the Captain determines if a trip should be canceled. Guests only pay for tours right before boarding so nobody pays if the tour is canceled.
We do not charge a deposit because our guests always show up.
Could we extend our tour time?
It is possible to extend your time if we don’t have a trip booked after you. You can book an additional day if one is available and ½ day tours can be extended if available for the additional fee.
Is the boat wheelchair or stroller accessible?
For deep sea fishing, no. Pontoon boats, Yes!
What do we do with the fish we catch?
Any catch you’d like to keep will be cleaned for you to take. We also do catch and release. Max’s Conch Bar, Tiny’s, and any of the restaurants and resorts will cook it for you by request.
What is included in the tour?
Jus 1 Danz tours supply water and soda for guests on all tours. For full day tours a light snack and chips is also included. You are welcome to bring any other snacks and beverages you wish.
What time does the tour leave?
Our guests can choose a departure time usually between 7:30-9:30AM and will depend on where the guest is staying.
What happens if the waves get rough or I feel seasick?
The Captain will always put safety and comfort of guests first. If you have a fishing charter booked, he will try his hardest to go behind cays to keep you in nicer areas. Remember we have no control of the ocean but we will be sure to keep you safe.
We recommend that if you do not know if you get seasick, that you take a commercial motion sickness medication or use the wrist bands or patches that go behind the ear. You can ask your doctor beforehand. If someone does get to the point where we must go in, please know there is no refund.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear a swimsuit and bring a hat, shorts, t-shirt, sunglasses and sun block, a jacket in cooler weather and of course, your camera.
All necessary equipment is provided for fishing. If snorkeling, you will need to bring your own mask and snorkel. We have fins. We also have all necessary safety equipment.
Is there a bathroom on board?
NO!! There are places to go before boarding.
Do you provide transportation from my hotel?
Transportation is not included, but we will give you advice about the best way to get to the nearest public dock.
